This is my chance to talk about things that I feel are important, and maybe my chance to vent about things. If you're interested, click on the items below to see what I have to say.

I normally try not to get involved in religious or political discussions. Both are highly subjective topics -- full of beliefs and opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, in my view, and no one's opinions are necessarily wrong just because they don't agree with someone else's. Unfortunately, too many people feel their opinion is the ONLY right opinion, and will try to force others to come around to their way of thinking. This doesn't make for fun discussion in my view, so I avoid them. However . . . , that said, I have put my religious views on Religion/Spirituality. I have lots of other opinions too ... some of them are in my Soapbox. Enjoy!

Just to give you a little background about me: I was born in Duluth, Minnesota. I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin (go Packers!). I took a Greyhound bus to Los Angeles when I was 18 - an adventure that (luckily!) came out well for me. I met my husband there. We lived in several places in Southern California (Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Moreno Valley, San Ysidro) before moving to Orlando, Florida. Once the kids were grown, John and I moved to Maine. We lived in Bangor for a couple of years before returning to the Orlando area for various reasons.

I received a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Central Florida in 1999. In 2006, I received certification as an Emergency Medical Technician after attending Eastern Maine Community College. I continued my education with the Paramedic program at Seminole Community College (now being renamed to Seminole State College of Florida). I am now proceeding to get a degree in Nursing. I hope, eventually, to become a Physician Assistant.

You can see all about my most recent job on My Job. I am trying to get a new job in the medical field, as as soon as I get a one, I'll update this information. I do have a lot of experience with computers, desktop publishing and web pages. What I really want to do, aside from the medical stuff, is write. I write children's books, feature film and television scripts. I have some completed, and am working to get them ready to try to sell them.
