My Family
My parents, Don & Vi, were always excellent as parents -- as a teenager, I sometimes got angry at them for being too understanding, etc. Teenagers don't always make a lot of sense, and I was no exception! They are now retired and spend most of the winter months in Florida not too far from where I live and most of the summer months in Wisconsin not too far from Ken, my older brother.
Ken still lives in Green Bay, with his wife, Lori; son, Evan; and daughter, Chloe. Ken is a veternarian who only treats cows.
I married John on June 6, 1981 in Van Nuys, California. Our 'courtship' was the type to give mothers nightmares - we knew each other all of three months before taking the plunge, two months of which we were living together. Also, John is 9 years older than I am. However, since we're still together, you can see that everything has worked out fine.
John received his Masters' in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida. (Contrary to popular belief, U Can Finish! We've decided that UCF stands for Under Construction Forever...) If
anyone out there has a good job that could use a charming, talented person with an MPA, be sure to contact one of us! Send him email at jmullen7720@yahoo.com or send me email using the link at the bottom of the page.
This is my husband, John. Ladies, drool all you want, but he's mine!
John's mother, Mickey, lives in Florida. His father passed away early in 2006. Mickey breeds, raises and rescues Bullmastiffs, and owns Crossbow Kennels. If you like loving dogs that are big enough to give bear hugs to, you'd like Bullmastiffs! They are really sweet dogs, without a mean bone in their bodies (sometimes I think they're just too dumb to be mean!).
John's sister, Reyna, lives in Nevada with her husband, David. Their two kids, Paul and Becky, are grownups just like our two kids, and live in Northern California. David is one of the leading elephant experts in the country.
John's adopted sister, Robin, also lives in Nevada with her fiancee, Adam, and his daughter, Hailey. Robin, just like Mickey, does a lot of dog breeding and rescue. Her efforts tend to be more focused on the English Mastiff, however.
John and I have two wonderful children - a boy and a girl. Here's a picture of our son and daughter.
How about a family of monkeys? (from the left: son, John Richard; husband, John; me; daughter, Colleen)

My husband and son like to kid around...
